PETS and PEOPLE Support Module
A Guiding Light knows that your client's pet is part of their family. For some, it may be their only family.
Pet Loss and Bereavement Support is a highly specialized and nuanced training that traditional social work and psychology education curriculum do not typically cover. This is a very special module of training that prepares the certified Guide for the intense grief, isolation, and guilt that often accompanies a pet's loss.
The counselors working with A Guiding Light have decades of experience helping people through the challenging times that having pets in our lives sometimes bring as life reaches the end.
A Guiding Light training can be there for your patient when their four-legged family member is nearing the end of life or in the difficult times afterwards.
This module is made possible through the Animals at Heart program of A Guiding Light.
Animals at Heart has been helping pet owners and their four-legged friends with
specialized programs since the year 2000. Pet Loss and Bereavement training is
only the latest of many ways A Guiding Light and our certified Guides truly have
Animals at Heart.
